The Architecture of the Body
Form is not imposed — it is discovered. In the study of silhouette, ISALOR approaches the body as architecture: a structure of curves and planes, of weight and lightness, of shadow and revelation.
The mannequin is the first collaborator. Around it, fabric is draped, pinned, sculpted — not to cover the body, but to complete it. Each silhouette is a conversation between the structural and the organic, between the monument and the breath.
A gown is not a garment. It is a building you wear.

Every silhouette begins as a question of space: How much volume? How much restraint? Where does the fabric fall, and where does it hold its ground?
The answer is never found in the fabric alone. It is found in the relationship between the fabric and the body — in the negative space between skin and cloth, in the way a fold catches light or releases it.
Form, in the ISALOR vocabulary, is the point where architecture surrenders to the body — and the body rises to meet the architecture.
